Hi,

We have been doing Tacfit at the downtown BAC Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and I love it!!! I have been doing some things on my own since you guys left, the end of November, along cycling, weights, cardio, running, etc. and can’t believe how much strength, balance and mobility I have maintained and gained.

Thanks again, Christian and Ryan, for taking the time to work with us. Ben hopes to get certified soon but is doing a great job keeping an eye on form in the meantime.

Best regards,

Judith Dawe

Just to clarify on the FireFighter Challenge you do all 3 exercises for the allotted reps every minute on the minute??

tacfitfirefighter 17-02-2012, 17:07

Dave-

That is correct. All 3 exercises for the prescribed reps in less than a minute. Start the next circuit at the top of the next minute. The key is to move fast, do not pace! Try to complete the round in less than 40 seconds giving yourself 20 seconds of recovery before the next round.
Good Luck!

How can we download those videos ? It’s kind of hard to do the “follow-along” workout if I can only watch it on my computer. I can’t workout in my computer room.

tacfitfirefighter 17-02-2012, 21:54

Victor,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately these videos are only available in a streaming format. As a bonus, with purchase of TACFIT FireFighter First Alarm, we will be providing a 4 DVD set with the entire video library in Hi Def. The TACFIT FireFighter Challenge will be included. Thank you for your interest and Happy Training!!

Christian

I was surprised how quickly I got up-to speed! My first day, I could only get about 6 minutes in to the interval training before I was just DYING. Two days later, I held out the whole time, and a week later I am toying with the idea of upgrading from Recruit to Proby!

Alex Katsanos 03-03-2012, 18:31

Just jumped in…looks great..professional and high quality, Coach Sonnon & Ryan etc, you’ve done it again! can’t wait to really work this program!

tacfitfirefighter 04-03-2012, 10:44

Thanks Alex. Let us know how your training goes as you dig into the program.

imre veres 04-03-2012, 13:41

could not find a link for downloading the bonus DVDs. It will come later?
And congratulations, the technical part and navigation is the best from all tacfit sites.

tacfitfirefighter 04-03-2012, 13:54

Imre,

Thank you and yes the DVD’s are being mailed separately. Thanks again and happy training.

Thanks guys for a great Tacfit program. As I am working through the materials, I love the portability of the program. I spend a lot of time on the road and this program seems perfect for hotel rooms and hotel gyms. At the same time, I was hoping there would be more use of clubbells in the system. Any plans for a clubbell oriented version in the future?

tacfitfirefighter 05-03-2012, 13:33

Tim,

Thank you for the kind words and we are excited you are enjoying the program. Yes, we will be implementing more clubbells in the future. We recognize that some of the equipment we typically deploy is not always common place, as a result we wanted to implement them slowly over the course of First Alarm, Second Alarm, Third Alarm, etc. Thanks again and we look forward to hearing more about your TACFIT journey.

V/R,
Christian

Makes sense and great to hear. If the new versions are half as good as this one, they will be well worth the wait.

Joel Seymour 06-03-2012, 10:49

Hi guys! First off, thanks to Christian for responding so quickly to my emails. I’ve gone through the informaiton and am “No” day today. Having done TacFit and being in CST since 2005, I really appreciate all the effort you put into this great product.

You guys have really balanced the strength-mobility continuum, and I look forward to working through these workouts. The first two were smokers for me, and even though I’ve trained in the RMAX suite of products this one really put the boots to me!

With some upcoming travel, I’m looking forward to the DVDs for even more portability. Kudos on an amazing product.

Joel

Excited to see the First Alarm program is out. Do you have a way for us to purchase it as a department? Say each station purchases a copy and then everyone from that station can log in under a station log in to access the online material and/or use the dvd’s from the station.

tacfitfirefighter 29-03-2012, 19:41

Rose,
We do offer bulk purchasing as well as licensing for all of the members. I will PM you with the details.

awesome workout, but near the end i find that i have problems finishing everything in the aloted minute,it is getting better though,i was reading somewhere that programs start at alpha and go all the way to zulu,is this the case,

tacfitfirefighter 01-04-2012, 20:42

Rob,

Congratulations on your progress, keep up the hard work. The Alpha through Zulu is part of the TACFIT 26 program which can be found in our products page. It is comprised of 26 metabolic conditioning workouts utilizing six different training protocols.
First Alarm has been designed with the same principals as well as the same six training protocols. We have added an additional training protocol as well as provided specific warm-ups, cool downs, recovery days, and priming days.
Good luck with the training and keep us posted on your progress.

Christian

Took the high intensity day to the gym today, needed the pull up bar. Apparently a couple guys complained that I was making them uncomfortable. I guess people have forgotten what it means to actually work out when your at the gym instead of throwing around a weight for 30 seconds then chitchatting for 5 minutes between sets. Or maybe a woman working out harder then them was too much of a hit to their ego. Anyway, I must have been doing it right. Great work out.

tacfitfirefighter 14-04-2012, 19:11

Great job! The same people that are giving you funny looks now will soon be asking you to show them how to do what you are doing. Keep us posted as you progress through your training.

Nicholas Nelson 22-07-2012, 10:56

Just became a member, am really pumped to give these work outs a go at the station today. I am in charge of getting our team ready for our local Fire Fighter Combat Challenge and most of us are a bit out of shape. I’ve read the reviews and everything points towards this being an awesome program. If all goes well I will make a motion to the board to do the bulk purchase and licensing of this and get the whole department on board! You guys are doing a great job!

tacfitfirefighter 22-07-2012, 15:18

Nicholas,

Thanks for the support and good luck with your Combat Challenge. Please let us know if we can be of any help during your training or if you have any questions in regards to department purchasing.

Best Regards,
Christian & Ryan
